Since we're staying at an AirBnB here in Hiroshima, our first day began with a search for Breakfast. Since our nutritional intake during the day of travel was very insufficient, our priority was food, sooner than later and we chose literally the closest restaurant to our 'home' on google maps.
The server took forever to show up to take our order after very promptly seating us upon on arrival. We figured out in time .... we had to call the server over when we were read with this snazzy button.
Google translate is our hero!
Wifey had the Mexican breakfast which was a bacon, onion, and cheese quesadilla with Mexican salsa (pace Picante) and guacamole.
Hubby had a breakfast combination of some sort made up of a hamburger, a sausage link, an egg, rice and some sauce. Both dishes were pretty good.
Our breakfast meals came with access to the drink bar ....

| our receipt. Breakfast = about $15 |
Written by Wifey: When we travel I am typically the tour guide. I do research, figure out what we're going to go see/do when and then execute those plans. As a result, we tend to visit more Art Museums and fewer ... boy things. I do, try, however, to brainstorm at times what Hubby might enjoy and incorporate those into the itinerary. In Hiroshima, after googling "things to do" or something similar, I came across a google result for an Amusement Park. After breakfast, I built up an appropriate amount of excitement, and set our GPS!
We arrived ... at a kiddie fun park.
Yeah ... we made the best of it ... including a mini replica of the Eiffel tower.
The kiddie fun park was colocated with a nice yet small outdoor shopping area that we were able to walk around and explore before loading back up in the car to drive home (only about 4 KM away).
The rest of the day was spent with the aim of driving "out of town" to explore "somewhere rural". That was also not a success, but we did eventually stop for a late lunch at a cafe whose name we weren't able to capture.
Hubby ordered a side of spicy chicken (foreground) and a Korean oyster dish. Both were good.
Wifey was feeling sick by this point and ordered a shrimp and avocado as all the food was unappetizing. Sadly, it came with mayonnaise on top. The parts of the salad uncontaminated by the mayo were good!
We hit traffic on the drive home and promptly went to bed. This day is being chalked up as "recovery day".
