Honeymoon Day 5

For Day 5 our our European Fun, we woke up in Luxemburg and struck out in search of STARBUCKS!!  In our experience, the European folks like their coffee STRONG.  We ... um .... disagree.

With the primary English language influence on the content being Great Britain, there are some linguistic quirks.

For one ... The Loo!

This CRACKED wifey up!

After coffee we embarked on another open top bus tour ... this time of Luxemburg City.  Our first exit was ... the local mall.

We enjoyed a bit of "normalcy" shopping for some personal care items, and taking selfies on the giant ramp escalators!

After shopping, we re-boarded the bus and toured the European Government areas of town ... check out all the flags of the various member countries of the EU!  Luxemburg City is one of 3 'capital' citys in the EU.  Look for another of the three in an upcoming blog post.

We forgot what sort of EU governmental building this is ... but check out the architecture ... you can see UNDER the building!

Remote Control Selfie ... waiting on our bus!

Wifey thinks it'd be a long walk to our home's threshold from Luxemburg!

Random alien centaur on the grounds of an Luxembourgian Art Museum.

On our way in search of some authentic Luxembourg food for Lunch ... we were HUNGRY after a morning of walking and touring.

Continue to the round about - story of our European lives!

We Found Our Destination!

Rack of Lamb ... and Fries!

AMAZING!

Sampler Platter ... yay for random cuts of meet ... wifey guesses!

In Wifey's opinion, one of our best meals of the trip.

The Luxemburg countryside as we left town:

Seriously beautiful!

Honeymoon Day 4, Part 2

At last the time has come for us to leave Paris, rent a car, and strike out across the French countryside!

Our first glimpse of non-urban France ... We Love It!

A random church we stumbled across in the middle of no-where (while our GPS tried to avoid toll roads ... which is about impossible).

Beautiful, huh?

inside the church:

Spiral Staircase - these would become a theme of Europe ... they really like spiral staircases!

An adventure awaits ... (or maybe just some cobwebs)

You can see the brick showing through the wall here:

Our Rental Car:

Second of many McDonalds stops of the trip ... here we ordered "coke" were charged for "Mayan Coffee" but were served a "coke" and called that a success!

But before that ... we detoured though this storage area .... ROUNDABOUTS are the death of us!

Seriously, Rural France is Wifey's favorite!

Farming:

Roundabout!

Look at that horizon:

You'd think we were in america .... seen from the road at a random detour through Metz, France!

The Cathedral at Metz!  If we ever have another opportunity to visit, France ... I vote for staying in Metz!

Beautiful stained glass:

A bit over an hour outside of Metz, we arrived at our hotel for the night in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.

After driving across France and half of Luxembourg, we were tired and I'll bid you goodbye for the night!  Check in tomorrow as we tour Luxembourg City!
