St. Louis - John's wedding

On March 20, 2021, one of Hubby's college friends and roommates got married!  We made the trip to St. Louis for the wedding.  We stayed at an AirBNB.  We brought along Ellenor and left Bosco home alone for 48 hours.  This AirBNB was both perfect and annoying.

Location-Location-Location - The location was great.  The AirBNB was on the second story above several restaurants along a great street full of food and coffee and shopping.  Wifey would have loved to had more time to explore our temporary neighborhood.  The stairs were a bit steep though.

Furniture - The couch needed replacing.  The bed was comfy.

All in all the AirBNB met our needs.  We were just sleeping in it twice as a base for attending the wedding which was an all-day event!  Hubby was looking GOOD in his suit and tie!

Congratulations, John and Ellie!

On the Road Again!

We drove home from VA in an epic road trip.  In two days we crossed 7 states and traveled about 1,500 miles and 23 hours of actual drive time.

Along the way we stopped to capture pictures at each state-line.  The trip was long but beautiful!

The KY sign was on a bridge, so we took our group picture a mile down the road at the Welcome Center.

St Louis Arch

We recently traveled with Hubby's Mom out east to visit the ocean!  Along the way we passed through St. Louis MO and took the opportunity to visit the St. Louis Arch! We were excited for the change to (1) see an intriguing piece of architecture and (2) get one more use out of our America the Beautiful Passes!  Due to some lunch challenges, we arrived at the arch just at our appointment to ride to the top.  We breezed through security, skipped the museum and lined up to ride to the top!

Picnic

About a week after our wedding, we had the opportunity to visit Hubby's hometown for the annual Catholic parish picnic, to attend a cousins wedding shower, and have our mechanic brother help a newly married couple out with their broken lawnmower!  Makes for a busy 2 days!

For our readers who didn't grow up around the catholic parish tradition of Parish picnics .... you are missing out!   The food is amazing, and the scope of this event is incredible.

Thousands of people gathered around the Parish hall for this year's picnic.

Motorcycle parking:

I'm afraid some guests may have misunderstood the exact and technical definition of "compact car".

We're excited to have our tickets!!

And a couple hours later ... its our turn to get in line!
Waiting in line is always more fun together!

This beauty taken with Wifey's cell phone and selfie-stick.

At long last we made it inside the Parish Hall ... proceeded to eat too much and then collapse needing a nap!  Thank you, Mary's Home, for your fabulous welcome!

We'll see you next time!
