La Quinta Biloxi

We recently took a last minute trip to Biloxi MS along with our fur-babies!  Since this is mostly a travel blog, you haven't had many chances to meet Bosco and Ellenor!

Hours of googling and a phone call or two resulted in a room at the local pet-friendly La Quinta.  Our room was nice and the hotel staff gracious to our pets.

Some things never change .... just like at home, our younger/larger dog waits by the door anytime Hubby is away.

Our hotel room was typical for america.  It came with the expected free coffee and toiletries.  We ended up declining housekeeping services while we were there due to the annoyance of #pets, but received fresh towels and goodies daily at the front desk.

We used the chair for a backpack landing zone to free up floor space for the dogs!

Biloxi Day 2 Part 3

After parasailing (and some relaxation time spent blogging) we met up with some of Hubby's coworkers ...

for dinner at Adventures Pub and Spirits.

Sadly it allows smoking inside ... so we sat on the porch!

Little bites of fried Wisconsin white cheddar gloriousness!

And eggplant fries!

Hubby's "Jucy Lucy" burger - it was stuffed with cheese and a side of orzo pasta salad.  Wifey forgot to photograph her chicken quesadilla.  Shrug!

We had a great time fellowshipping with Hubby's coworkers before they all went off to work for the night!

Biloxi Ms Day 2 - Parasailing

On our second full day in Biloxi, we made reservations for a parasailing adventure!  The day before we had gone driving and found the marina where the boat departed from, so we knew right where to go when the time came!

Here's the boat which will be our home for the adventure:  Office Space!!

We're excited!!!

On board and ready!!

All harnessed in:

And ..... In the air!

HOW FUN!

The water was just a bit cool on our way down, but still, an awesome experience!

Biloxi Day 2 Part 1

The morning of day two we visited our hotel pool!

And took underwater selfies!

A palm tree!  I think?

Biloxi MS Day 1 Part 2

After our beach adventure we ended up taking a nap before meeting up with a friend for Dinner!  Hi, S!

We opted for the #1 ranked restaurant in town per tripadvisor, Half Oyster House for dinner.

It was amazing!  We had Royal Red Shrimp,

Red Fish Orleans (Blackened redfish topped with Gulf shrimp sauteed in our original New Orleans style smoky Cajun sauce. Topped with jumbo lump crabmeat.) with Sweet Potato Creme brulee and Cheese Grits,

and Fried Green Tomatos and Crab Cakes ... (Fried green tomatoes layered with blue crab cakes. Served over lemon aioli and topped with crab ravigotte.)!

The view leaving the entrance to Hubby's worksite -  (if you can't quite tell, that is the ocean in the background!)

On display at a local souvenir shop - a shark sculpture that was damaged but survived Katria.

We enjoyed lunch at Wentzal's Seafood.  It billed itself as New Orleans style.  Must've been good ... we failed to capture a picture of our meals.  Sorry! Wifey had Chicken Alfredo and Hubby had a crab au gratin.

On the way home from lunch we took a break in time to stop and have a brief adventure on the beach.  Being off season it is pretty deserted:

Hubby enjoyed seeing the wildlife soaring above our heads!  They were beautiful!

While Hubby looked up, Wifey was busy with her toe's in the OCEAN!!!  (please ignore the desperately needed pedicure!)

Hubby got in the OCEAN action too:

Back at the sky - looky what God did:
