Honeymoon Day 7

Today again began with Hubby venturing out to fulfill some commitments and wifey staying home.... but not for long!

She ventured into the parking lot to capture our fabulous hotel ... Merkur:

Seriously, this place rocked!  On Site Parking!  Breakfast!  Yay!

The next 8 hours were not photographed, but consisted of a ladies bible study, group cook-out, shopping with the ladies, and then meeting back up at the end of the day in search of Dinner.

Little did we know what a true ADVENTURE dinner would become!!!

We started casually checking out some local villages and scenery.  Look at the pretty flowers!

Flowers!  German Words!  Yay!

Handsome German Man!

Every Village has a church.  The churches are stunning!

Flowers!  Seriously, can I have window boxes, hubby!?

We ventured further out into the countryside!

Rural Germany!

This is either a small chapel or a burial ground for a hunting dog.  Seriously, we're not sure.

We think we found a a restaurant for dinner!!  YAY!!

Look .. a menu display box!  Clearly a restaurant.

It was not a restaurant.  It was a Catholic church.  They were in the middle of Mass.  Because of course.  I did not take a picture of that.  That would be rude.

But never fear .... our GPS said there was a restaurant nearby at a local wildlife park!!!  And after a couple of detours we made it!

Beautiful hotel!  I bet they serve yummy food!

And I was wrong ... so very closed ... and the folks we did see roaming around ... didn't exactly speak English.

But we did see a Bald Eagle.  Go America!

Several villages and hours away ....

There were candles!  Seriously ... a candle lit dinner ... in the dozenth village we drove through in search of food ... any food!

More candles

And hot Cocoa!

Veal and Steak in Mushroom Cream Sauce ... very German!

Spatzle!

Hubby is EXCITED!

He skipped his plate altogether!

Our fantastic waitress did not speak English.  Like at all.  Nor did this restaurant have a credit card machine.  The food was impecable.  The service a delight ... and receives wifey's vote for one of the top two meals of the trip!
