We took a train from Naples to Roma. But first, we had to drop off our Napoli rental at the airport. This made things more complicated as Napels doesn't have their train system connected to the airport. Why, I don't know. We were able to take a shuttle bus between the two, however, for €5. Sadly, Wifey lost her phone on the shuttle bus. So we had to wait for the next one to come by after drop-off to try and retrieve it. The bus driver on the second shuttle didn't speak English, but enlisted another passenger to translate. Everyone was awesome. Then Wifey found her phone in her bag and we let the poor, inconvenienced, Italians go about their days.
The train was delayed causing us to arrive at our new AirBNB around 9:30 pm. We booked this particular home because it is less than 200 meters from a Metro station and has a Washer/Dryer! It is on the 7th floor of an apartment building surrounded by other apartment buildings and we struggled a bit to find it; eventually messaging our Host who came to our rescue in the small parking 'lot' outside.
We love our Roma AirBNB.
The elevator is small, but so appreciated after a 20K day (or with luggage). You do have to be careful though. Don't open the inside doors until the elevator has reached a full stop. Doing so will stop the elevator anyway, and then the outside door will refuse to open. This causes mild panic before Hubby figures out you can reset the system by going down a floor and then back up to your destination. Ask me how we know.
Here, Hubby is standing guard so the doors aren't opened prematurely. Again. :)
Our new home has a comfy bed! (sorry for the messy personal items in these pictures ... we were tired. You're lucky there are pictures at all)
