Honeymoon Day 4, Part 2

At last the time has come for us to leave Paris, rent a car, and strike out across the French countryside!

Our first glimpse of non-urban France ... We Love It!

A random church we stumbled across in the middle of no-where (while our GPS tried to avoid toll roads ... which is about impossible).

Beautiful, huh?

inside the church:

Spiral Staircase - these would become a theme of Europe ... they really like spiral staircases!

An adventure awaits ... (or maybe just some cobwebs)

You can see the brick showing through the wall here:

Our Rental Car:

Second of many McDonalds stops of the trip ... here we ordered "coke" were charged for "Mayan Coffee" but were served a "coke" and called that a success!

But before that ... we detoured though this storage area .... ROUNDABOUTS are the death of us!

Seriously, Rural France is Wifey's favorite!

Farming:

Roundabout!

Look at that horizon:

You'd think we were in america .... seen from the road at a random detour through Metz, France!

The Cathedral at Metz!  If we ever have another opportunity to visit, France ... I vote for staying in Metz!

Beautiful stained glass:

A bit over an hour outside of Metz, we arrived at our hotel for the night in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.

After driving across France and half of Luxembourg, we were tired and I'll bid you goodbye for the night!  Check in tomorrow as we tour Luxembourg City!

Honeymoon Day 4, Part One - The Louvre

We can't ever decide to move to Paris ... as if we did, Hubby feels that a motorbike is the ideal method of transportation! EEEK!  Those drivers are crazy!

We began Day 4 with a visit to the Louvre.  This gargantuan museum houses among other things ......

A fancy glass pyramid

A handsome Hubby!

An excited wifey

We're pretty sure these are sapphires ..... swoon!

Wifey was rather into the ceilings!

IN REAL LIFE!!!!

This is a picture of ME and the MONA LISA!  Together!

A new favorite paining Wifey can't wait to research.

It looks like a mix of Jesus and Sci-Fi.  I think the artist painted what was happening in the physical realm along side an insert of what was happening in the spiritual realm!

Seriously, the ceilings rocked!

Hubby even got into the "interested in the art" mindset!

Happy Couple!

We saw some French Army folks descending the spiral staircase inside the Louvre ... cause why not?!

Honeymoon Day 3, Part 2

What do you do when it's the 15th anniversary of 911 and you're in Paris?  Have dinner in the Eiffel tower of course!

Wifey believes this is hew new favorite picture of Hubby ... wowzers!

The picture doesn't quite show it, but you can see the ground below your feet and the people walking around on it.

Her shoes!

We are so excited for our food!

Blurry, but excited!

Coca Cola is served with Lemon around these parts.
